Cuckoo Madness

I must have hung upside-down too long yesterday while drying my hair as I foolishly agreed to join in allsorts' challenge of making a blog-post every day in May!
.

.
Today was the craft-fair I have been looking forward to doing since, well, this time last year really .... Downton Cuckoo Fair!
.
In the village of Downton, just the other side of Salisbury they have their May fair every first May bank holiday, and it's fantastic!
.
For a start, these are some of the cottages in the village :
.

.
And secondly, they get an estimated 20,000 people flooding to the show!
.
I took Carol with me to help run the stall, and after a disasterous start with the whirly roundy-roundy gizmo for hanging bags from, we did a pretty good job on setting up the stall.
.

.
I managed to nip out for some much needed loo breaks and took a peek at some traditional morris-dancing.
.

.
It was a fun, but long day and sadly my pink-crocs suffered from being on grass all day in the marquee. Just be thankful this blog doesn't come with smelly-vision because it did get very hot!
.

.
We had an eventful journey coming home. The sat-nav woman in my car must be menopausal at the moment as she directed us home via a train-station car-park as well as a Waitrose car-park! Ho hum ... we all have our off days I suppose!
.
I've just had a nice hot soak and I'm sat in my pyjamas with a sausage sandwich feeling very virtuous that I have managed to make a blog-post today!
.
Oh, and don't tell Mr jellybelly, but I committed the cardinal sin of spending some money on a beautiful velvet skirt ... for me!
.
But maybe I'll leave that for another blog-post!

Your stall is pure lovliness and I would have loved to visit that craft fair and town! Yikes, I wish I lived there for goodness sakes. :-)
