Colin's New Bed

This is Colin.....

.
We acquired him on our last visit to that *ahem* fine dining establishment owned by a clown called "Ronald".

He has become boy*jelly's favourite teddy-
pet, (along with the other 3 spotty-dogs he owns)

Colin is very small and gets lost in bed, so Lyn has made this fabulous bed and blanket for Colin - complete with his very own ball to play with!

boy*jelly also loves rainbows, which was the inspiration for the rainbow dots and blanket.
.
I've got a feeling Colin and his bed will be appearing in a "show and tell" at school any day now!

Crochet Purses

After a short spell away from the crochet-hooks, Lyn has produced these two bags for little girls.

They're always really popular at craft fairs ... a girl can never have too many bags!

Ballerinas and Dinosaurs!

Today there are 2 new personalised name plaques to add to the JBJB product range.

First is this padded fabric ballerina name plaque which features fabric ballet dresses with net tutus and a sweet ribbon flower, a ballerina-theme hanging ribbon and ballet shoes motif.

Then, not forgetting the boys, is this dinosaur themed plaque. It features dinosaur footprint buttons and dinosaur motifs. This plaque now completes the dinosaur-theme set of products.

Both plaques are available to order on the website

Have A Heart!

We've made the most of this Easter break and have been raiding the buttons, ribbons and embellishment boxes to create these florally-scented padded hearts ... all ready for selling at craft fairs.

Made from an assortment of fabrics including Cath Kidston, Laura Ashley, Rachel Ashwell and the Flower Fairies.

They're on a wire loop and add that finishing touch to any shabby-chic styled room.

Canvas & Wood Artwork

We're really pleased to be able to offer more kid's artwork through the JBJB website.

These gorgeous handmade paintings feature wooden motifs on a canvas background.
Our obvious favourite is the pink hearts .....

.... but the range also caters for boys, with dinosaurs, sailboats and racing cars.

Any of the artwork can be personalised with a name of your choice.

Easter Bonnet

It's Easter Bonnet parade day at boy*jelly's school today.

The design brief was "I want eggs hanging down and NO PINK!"

The daffodils are a plastic bunch from a local pound shop, as are the fluffy chicks..... and absolutely no pink!

Amazing what you can achieve with a hot glue gun!

Dinky Cupcakes

We're going through a bit of a cupcake phase here at JBJB and have decided to add them to our range of brooches.

Inspired by 1950's style rockets, this black fabric plaque features photographic images of both the moon and the Earth, buttons for the rocket's windows and personalised name detail.

May We "Brooch" A Subject...?

We're starting to get prepared for the craft-fair season and have been busily making these felt-flower brooches.

In a move away from pink (just in case somebody doesn't like pink!) we've used different shades of purple felt and topped them off with buttons of different shapes, sizes and colours.

Needless to say, Sue did the hand-sewing!

More Cottage Appeal

Here is our latest design waiting to go up on the website

"I wanted to make a fabric equivalent of a child's drawing of a house and garden" says Emma.

Complete with fabric flowers, butterflies and button apples, we can't help thinking we'd like to live in a house like this!

Spot The Scrummy Stuff!

Having just got back from a delivery, we thought we'd let you see how our recent shop order looks now it's in the shop.

They sell such delicious stuff and their displays make our doorstops and cupcake bunting look even more scrummy than normal!

For anybody living in Wiltshire, the shop is "By The Way" in Bradford-On-Avon. Located right next to the canal it's a perfect place to shop, have a walk by the canal and stop-off in the pub - perfect!

Doorstops Aplenty

We've just finished an order for one of our shop-stockists......

....... Doorstops!

They're in quite contemporary fabrics and filled with wheat with fabric handles.

Ships Ahoy!

Having recently "launched" (pun intended!) our new nautical theme products, we thought we'd share with you the inspiration behind the motif.

"I've always loved this tug-boat wall plaque from home. I've even glued it back together from when it fell off the wall. When it came to designing a boat motif for the nautical range, this instantly sprang to mind!" Emma

We think you'll agree - great inspiration indeed!

"And when I found these anchor buttons online, I just knew they'd be perfect for the name-plaque!"

Cottage Appeal

Do you have access to a gorgeous cottage property?

We have been approached by a freelance journalist to have our products featured in an editorial piece in the pages of a national glossy magazine.

The journalist is looking to photograph some of our products in a traditional country-cottage environment, with the emphasis of the article being on the cottage, rather than our products.

Ideally, we are looking for a cottage that has bedrooms for a boy and girl and light and airy rooms.

We are more than happy to run the article as a joint-business venture, ie, if you own an interior design company and want to show off your talents, your business details can be included in the article.

There are a few other relevant details :

1) You must be the owner, or have the owner's written permission to feature the property
2) No money will be paid for the feature - either to the property owners or jellybelly*jellybrain
3) There is no guarantee as to when the article will be published

If this is something you think you can help us with, please drop us an email

Cosytoes and Cupcakes

Here at jb*jb HQ, we're always on the look out for gorgeous handmade items to sell alongside our own products, so when we saw these funky fleecy cosytoes we just had to add them to the website.

A range of handmade buggy liners and cosytoes can be found on the JBJB website : here

And when we saw this hand-painted cupcake picture, we couldn't resist adding it! This and more gorgeous hand-painted artwork can be found here

We are in negotiations with a few other sellers, and hopefully more exciting handmade products will be added to the website soon!
