. I linked it all up to the computer in the morning via the USB port, put the installation CD in the drawer, did everything it told me too..... and nothing!
.
When I did finally get it working (and when I say "I", I of course mean "Mr Jelly") and started it stitching, it kept telling me the thread was breaking, even though I was sat there looking at it very much not broken!
.
By this time I was getting very hot and bothered (think Donald Duck!) and the air was getting blue, so I got on with making some orders instead.
.
Then .... disaster!
.
All of my PC files are saved onto an external hard-drive ... all my invoices, templates, letters, patterns etc ... and now they're gone! Somehow the external-drive had become corrupted.
. .
Mr Jelly rushed it to computer-hospital where it was put under 24 hour observation and hopefully the clever boffins in the workshop will fix it and return it restored!

To calm myself down I did some virtual window shopping and drooled over these:

.Update:
.The first words the computer boffin has just said on the phone are "it's not good news I'm afraid"
.
My hard-drive is kaput, no-more, it has ceased-to-exist, it is an ex-hard drive.

hubby bought me this exact same embroidery machine two christmases ago and i love it...quite a learning curve tho because there isn't much info on the net about it...if you need any help or advice, let me know! as far as the thread breaks (or the machine telling you there are thread breaks), i bought a thread stand to put behind the machine and it solved that problem for me...
I express my sympathy at this time of your loss. Not many things worse than a computer crash...and burn!
NO NO NO NO! My goodness! That is a nightmare!! I am so sorry to hear about your harddrive! Was it the new sewing machine that messed everything up?
Aaaargh! And external hardrives are meant to keep stuff safe... Go buy some clogs to cheer yourself up. You have my permission. It is so fab that they are coming back 'in' again. Glad I didn't get rid of mine. I'm wearing them as I write. They are n't quite as pretty as those ones - mine are bright red. They look like I'm wearing a couple of Edam cheeses on my feet! ;0)
