That Was The Year That Was ...

.
As it's New Year's Eve (blah, blah, blah) I thought I would have a review of my blogging year to date.
.
I started blogging in
March and I introduced you to Colin ....
.

Colin was boy*jelly's soft-pet who went on to have a pet who had a pet who also had a pet.
(Colin and the other pets were last seen at the bottom of a big pile of teddy-dogs.)

In April I showed you the first ever floppy-sunhat made from Cath Kidston fabric made by Sue for the JB*JB website.

This was back in the day when I naively assumed we would be having some sun during the summer months!

In May, I really found my blogging style when I took part in the

.
May was also the month I revealed what Mr Jelly looks like ...
.
... and I was so pleased at managing to think of a blog-post every day that I took up the hedonistic sport of Goat Riding.
.
.
June was the month I publically declared my failure as a housewife ...
.
All sorts of silliness took place in July.
.
My computer monitor turned evil and had to be replaced ...
.
.
I told you how much of a pedant I am for correct grammar ...
.
.
I shared with you Mr Jelly's embarassment with a deaf lady ...
.
.

And who can forget "The Guinea Pig" incident ...
.

.
In August I won the award for spotting the first christmas items for sale in a shop ...
.
.

I launched the camper-van swap and made lots of camper-van friends ...
.
.
And I had my first staff appraisal ...
.
.

In September I tidied my workroom ...
.
.
(It doesn't *ahem* quite look like that at the moment ...)
.
And I decided an afro from 1978 suited me best!
.
.

In October my television-viewing happiness took a nose-dive ...
.
.

So I did my best to comfort myself ...
.
.
In November I started my search for perfect sheets (still looking)
.
.
And the month of December was when I went from mouse to purple ... oops
.

.
I have a few predictions for 2009 ...
.
January will see me completing my Tax Return (shudder) as well as having my last birthday with a 3 at the beginning
.
February will be the month I swap Valentines cards with Mr Jelly.
.
March will drag by as we wait for the first signs of spring.
.
April will be the month I blog about just how much rain we are having in the UK.
.
May will be the month I blog about just how much rain we are having in the UK.
.
June will be the month I blog about just how much rain we are having in the UK.
.
July will be the month I declare my undying love for Mr Jelly as we celebrate our xxth wedding anniversary.
.
August will be the month I blog about just how much rain we are having in the UK.
.
September will be the month I jump for joy when boy*jelly goes back to school after the longest 6-week summer holiday break where we did nothing because of how much rain we had in the UK
.
October will be the month I start thinking about planning getting ready for Christmas
.
November will be the month I get bored with thinking about planning getting things ready for Christmas
.
December will be the month I turn into a Baah-Humbug of a scrooge.
.
Here's to 2009 folks!
.

Hi there!! I do enjoy reading your blog and you have some wonderfully creative items. Thank you for providing a super inspirational blog.
It is a little tongue-in-cheek that I comment on the fact that you mention that you have a penchant for correct grammar and punctuation, and I'm assuming that spelling falls in that category too. Your mention of Mr Jelly's "emba(r)rassment" made me smile in this regard.
All the best for 2009.
