Look At The Size Of My Buns!

.
Boy*jelly is now on his two week Easter half term break and Mr Jelly has a rare week off from work.
.
Yesterday we packed a picnic and went to the Botanical Gardens at Victoria Park, Bath.
.
.
After demolishing our food, we headed off to feed the ducks.
. .
Well.
I say "ducks" ... it was mostly sea-gulls and pigeons...
.
.
... but it kept boy*jelly happy!
.
.
"It's behind you"
.
Then we spent some time at the fair that is visiting over Easter, but boy*jelly wasn't too keen to ride on anything so next on the agenda was some crazy golf.
.
It was a bit busy, my feet were falling off, and I was gagging for cup of tea by this point, so whilst the boys looned about in the crazy golf, I visited the cafe next door.
.
Now to my mind, it's rude to only have a drink when patronsing a food establishment, so I did the honourable thing and ordered a toasted teacake.
.
I was expecting something like this :
.
Imagine my surprise at what turned up :
.
.
Note : 4 packets of butter were NOT enough!
.
Each slice was about the size of my face.
.
I'm also of the opinion that it is bad manners to leave anything other than crumbs on one's plate, so I polished off the lot and had two cups of tea! Lovely.
.
I re-joined the boys halfway round the crazy golf and then we went back to the fair.
.
.
I'm experimenting with my camera at the moment, trying to make sense of all the settings and here are a few shots I got from the day.

Fabulous buns - you're going to get so many hits because of that you know ;-)

Does your boy know he has wings coming out of the sides of his head?

Fabulous photos, your getting very good with that camera....

I think you are getting confused between your crossed buns and teacakes, me dear! but that is one whopping tea cake! lol

When I lived in Stockport I asked for a bread roll and was confronted with confused looks and someone asking if I meant a Barm cake! now they were some large bread rolls! lol

Some fantastic photos and I'm impressed you got the squirrel so well, I tried in the park by Buckingham palace (forgot the name) last summer and even with lots of them running about I didn't get a good shot they were too fast ! Love the fairground ride one.
