A Feast For The Eyes

.
Last night, me, Mr Jelly, jelly*bestfriend and jelly*bestfriend's husband went out for a proper grown-up, child-free meal.
.
Somebody recently recommended this place in Swindon so we gave it a try.
.
.
.
Inside a very contemporary, large dining-area are separate "islands" with different foods.
.
.
There was a huge variety of Indian, Thai and Chinese food ("Pan-Asian"), with a little bit of "English" sausage, chicken nuggets and chips too ...
.
.
Once we had been shown to our table we were told you take a plate and help yourself to whatever you wanted and as much as you wanted.
.
.
And when our plates were empty, we got to do it all again!
.
.
.
Yup. Eat as much as you like for £12.00 a head!
.
.
Choose your meat ...
.
.
... and watch it being cooked on the Teppanyaki hotplate and barbecue grill
.
Well guess which islands I spent most time at ...
.
.
.
This island had fruit and chocolate cake, and ...
.
.
... the biggest bowl of profiteroles!
.
.
You'll be pleased to hear I resisted the urge to stick my head in the chocolate fountain!
.
.
These looked really pretty but were a bit like eating candles
.
It was a great experience, and the food was top-notch - there was something for each of us.
.
Here's their website if you want to see if there's one near you.
.
If you do go ... be sure to wear something with an elasticated waist!
.
(PS - Please don't tell my inner-skinny-minny that I went here)

looks gorgeous! I stopped listening to my inner skinny minny years ago, when I went to Marks & sparks and bought 3 pairs of half elastic waist trousers!

You mean you don't wear elasticated waists all the time? :D God I think I'd set up a tent in that restaurant and never leave!

He he That is local to me, went there last year with hubby and sis and her hubby. It was ok but felt to me a bit works canteen like.

The food was good though apart from those green pudding things my hubby tried them and thought they were a bit grim which to be frank is saying something! we then hit a few bars for a bit of binge drinking! (oops I mean for grown relaxation) and then had to remortage the house the fowllowing day. just not used to drinking out these days and the cost (the old mitherly old biddy me speaking there.lol)
