Monitor The Situation

My computer monitor has been on the blink for weeks and weeks now.
.
Literally on the blink.
.
I fire up the hard-drive and then I have to switch the monitor on and off for at least 50 times before it finally holds onto the screen image and I can start to work. (And when I say "work" I do of course mean "read all my blogs")
..
Well this morning was the final straw.
.
Flicking it on and off for 5 minutes had no effect.
.
Sighing and rolling my eyes had no effect.
.
Screwing my face up into a nasty, pointy-shrew face had no effect.
.
Beating it with a roll of sellotape had no effect.
.
Going off and having some breakfast and pretending I didn't care had no effect.
.
Growling at it had no effect.
.
Turning into a combination of Basil Fawlty and Donald Duck had no effect.
.
Looking in the Argos catalogue to see how much a new monitor would cost (how much?!) had no effect.
.
Ringing Mr Jelly at work to whine at him had no effect.
.
And then, all of a sudden, it worked.
.
It's evil I tell you, pure evil ......
.

I think your pooter has been talking to mine..I ve had two on the blink this week..i see you havent launched it out the window just yet!
Ive just been reading your last post about boys..so hilarious, I can relate to lots of those and add a few of my own! (kittens cannot swim around the u-bend of the loo to collect a plastic dinosaur/red lipstick doesnt come out of brand new carpets even when you put baby powder over it to 'hide' it/ cat poo mustn't be cleaned up with a tea towel and the tea towel put back on the hook..I could go on...) boys hey..dont you just love 'em ....sometimes.

Ummmm....We ARE twins seperated at birth!! I new it!! WE have the same breakfast (sometimes I even skip the cereal, and just have the diet coke and chocolate)!
A couple of months ago I had the exact computer problem...the only cure was getting a new monitor. It is the cheapest one on the market, but turns on every time. I hardly say bad words now!
