Such A Happy Chappy

So. Here he is on his first day back to school.

This is NOT because he's unhappy about going back to school, but because I've told him to STAND STILL to have his photograph taken.

I'm very happy he's gone back to school because now I know he will be doing something during the daytime - it's been a fairly quiet summer holiday for him, thanks largely to the rubbish weather, but also because I can't take time off from the business.

.

So that's it. Summer is offically over ... bring on autumn!

WIP Reveal

I can now reveal what my WIP from the other day was.

.

.

Remember Sal won my 100th blog giveaway a month ago?!

.

She told me her favourite colour was red, or anything "bright".

.

This denim button squidgy bag, complete with red paisley lining and lots of buttons is on its way to her.

.

.

I also added a red beaded bag-charm and my attempt at a zipper-purse (it was my third ever attempt at a zip, so I hope it stands up to scrutiny!)

.

Is It Next Week Yet?

I've just done a count of how many PE bags I still have left to make ....

I haven't done a total overall count of how many I've already done, but I seem to have done nothing else for the past 6 weeks!

And don't forget, I shall be closing the entries for the Camper Van Swap on Friday.

So far, there are 22 of us camper-van divas!

That'll Teach Me!

Some of our neighbours are having some building work done which started today.

.The two young lads had really loud music blaring from their works' van.

.

"Oh I can't listen to that all day, mutter, mutter ... "

.

So I decided to nip it in the bud and act like a middle-aged housewife.

.

Me : "Excuse me? Would you mind turning your music down a bit please?"

.

Builder No 1 : "Of course love. Sorry about that"

(OMG, I'm officially a "love")

.

Builder No 2 : "Have you a baby sleeping?"

.

Me : "No"

(thinking to myself ... "I just think your music is crap")

.

So they very kindly switched their music off and we're all happy.

.

Except I get inside and realise .... he thought I'd just had a baby!!

.

We're Mostly In A Mess

Here are the results to August's question,

"How many times do you say "oh for flips' sake it was in my hand a minute ago!"?

"Umm, never, I'm quite tidy actually" = 1 person (I bet that was my mum!)

"0 - 5 times a month" = 2 people (well aren't you the tidy ones?)

"0 - 5 times a week" = 5 people (nice to see you can cope with a bit of mess)

"I'm not exaggerating, it's at least 18,000 times a day" = 14 people

(Wahey! Let's revel in the mess!)

Har Har ... Very Funny!

Mr Jelly is in charge of grocery shopping in our house.

This is because, left to me, we would all eat chocolate biscuits, cakes, ice-cream and crisps for tea.

He does the shopping online and always asks if there's anything I need him to order.

"I'm getting low on shampoo - doesn't matter what sort - whatever's cheapest" said I (trustingly)

The delivery man has just been, and what did I find in one of the bags?

I shwear offishur, I've only had one drink - hic!
