Bereft

.
Something bad has happened in the Jelly household.
.
No, it's got nothing to do with boy*jelly being home for the next 6 weeks on summer holiday.
.
And it's got nothing to do with the fact that I had to take him with me round a crowded supermarket looking at other mothers with a similar glazed look to their expressions muttering "it's only been 2 days .... how will I cope with 6 weeks?"
.
No, it's something far worse.
.
My computer is in the process of dying on me.
.
I can get about 10 minutes' worth of computer time before it says
"I'm not staying switched on and there's nothing you can do about it"
.
I am currently relying on the laptop, but it's just not the same.
.
Fortunately, everything gets backed-up every day to an external driver (learnt my lesson the last time), but I don't get much time to access my email account.
.
So if I take a while to respond to any emails, it's because:
.
.
"Computer Says No"
.

  1. Oh no! Poor computer box!
My laptop has been acting up recently too, although at least it still switches on...
The important question is, should everything go t*ts up, do you have an internet cafe in easy walk?

Although I will say that a few years ago I switched to using a laptop 100%. I resisted for a long time, but now I love it.

  5. Our main computer will only work for so long before it overheats..... probably the fan, but to be honest we just limp along. Luckily I do all of this stuff on a laptop. Hope yours doesn't die on you. x

  13. my pc was doing that just before christmas - i had a man round to sort it day before christmas eve - he took it away brought it back christmas eve all sorted and spruced up with extra memory and virus control and everything only cost me £40 - i was having panic attacks just imagining it dying on me.
    maybe it's something fairly simple?
