Is It Worth Giving Up Food For?

I found this gorgeous patchwork skirt in my local charity shop the other day.
.
.
Isn't it beautiful?
.
.
It was the bargain price of £6 ($12) and it was in the window.
.
There is one downside to owning this skirt.
.
I'm a size 16/18 (US size 14/16) and this skirt is a size 12 (US size 10)
.
I can either:
.
(a) go on a diet, and give up eating until it fits.
(b) insert 2 panels either side of the skirt and hope I make a good job of it.
(c) hang it in the wardrobe with all the other beautiful clothes that no longer fit.
.
I know which one I should do... (a)
I know which one I could do... (b)
I know which one I will do... (c)
.
But I couldn't let anybody else own it could I?

  2. The skirt is beautiful. Use it to decorate with. That is what I would do.

  3. Make it into a giant handbag, then you can wear it - well on your arm that is:)

  4. Yay!!! It's gorgeous. Agree that NOONE else should have it but I reckon you should try to alter it to make it fit. What about denim panels - recyle a denim skirt or some jeans. If it was me I'd HAVE to wear it. Way too nice for the wardrobe.

  5. Oh oh oh that skirt is divine, I wouldn't have been able to resist either! Hang it on your bedroom wall and lose that weight madam, I am sure it will look fabulous on you!

P.S I went from a size UK20 (after 2 sproglets) to a size 10! in just 18 months, it can be done!
